On Friday, March 30, and then again on Monday, April 2, former #2 overall pick of the 1998 NFL draft, Ryan Leaf was arrested on burglary and drug possession charges in his hometown of Great Falls, Montana. Leaf will face multiple felony charges, criminal possession of drugs and burglary, and a misdemeanor charge of theft.

According to authorities, 20 Oxycodone pills were found in Leaf’s possession on Friday that were stolen from an acquaintance’s home. Then on Sunday, owners of a home in Great Falls came home and found a stranger inside who immediately left. After realizing three bottles of prescription pills had disappeared, the home owners called the police and picked Leaf out of a photo lineup.

Leaf’s home was later search and 89 hydrocodone pills were found loose in a bathroom robe pocket.

These two arrest come with very serious charges and Leaf might be faced with a lengthy jail sentence if convicted.
